Welcome, welcome! I have been thinking about starting this blog now for a while and at the end of last week I decided to just GO for it. Last Thursday I was at an art gallery for a reception where my best friend's mom had one of her photographs showing. As they were giving out the awards for first and second place in the show, the older gentleman presenting said, "Our fear often keeps us from meeting our success". In that moment, it just clicked for me. Here I was, among these artists, and I just felt inspired to take a leap. Along with many others in this world I have a pretty big fear of failure which can hold me back from doing things. So this is me jumping in. I'm not sure what this space will become but I will certainly learn as I go and see where it takes me.
I'm planning on sharing monthly reading wrap ups, some book reviews, bookstagram tips, photo tips, and other reading life/bookish content. As I mentioned above, I'm jumping in earlier than I usually feel comfortable doing so. In my dream world, I have many drafts of perfectly thought out content when I hit publish on this blog. In reality, I have a few ideas scratched down and a feeling of excitement.
I started my bookstagram, @michellereadsbooks, back in January 2018. It's been really rewarding to watch that space grow and I'm hoping that I can use this platform to continue to share more of my reading (and regular) life. So that's it. If you made it this far, congrats! Leave a comment and let me know what you think.
